Woe To The

Unrepentant Cities

The Twelve Apostles

Woe To Chorazan And Bethsaida

“Woe to you, you cities of the valley of Galilee, where all the mighty works of God are done! Woe to Chorazan and Bethsaida! If half the mighty works that have been done in you were done in Tyre and in Sidon, they would have long ago repented of their sins, and sought the way of right. And when the Judgement Day shall come, behold, Tyre and Sidon will be called more worthy than you will.
Because they slighted not their gifts, while you have thrown away the pearl of greatest price.

Woe To Capernaum

Woe unto you Capernaum! Behold, you are exalted now, but you shall be abased.
For if the mighty works that have been done in you had but been done within the cities of the plain - of Sodom and Zeboim - they would have heard and turned to God, and would not have been destroyed. They perished in their ignorance. They had no light. But you have heard. You have the evidence.
The light of life has shown above your hills and all the shores of Galilee have been ablaze with light. The glory of the Lord has shown in every street and synagogue and home. But you have spurned the light. And, behold, I say, the Judgment Day will come and God will deal in greater mercy with the cities of the plains than he will deal with you.”

Then He began to rebuke the cities in which most of His mighty works had been done, because they did not repent: "Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the mighty works which were done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes. But I say to you, it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the Day of Judgment than for you.

And you, Capernaum, who are exalted to heaven, will be brought down to Hades; for if the mighty works which were done in you had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day. But I say to you that it shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the Day of Judgment than for you."

At the time of Jesus, the city of Capernaum was exalted to heaven, because Jesus lived in that city. Also, He had a Spiritual Science college, which the Apostles, Disciples and Saints, as well as many foreign ministers of God, were attending. That was a great opportunity, a golden opportunity, for all the people in the city to believe and easily enter the Kingdom of Heaven. But they were less concerned about the works, teachings, corrections, messages and warnings of Jesus Christ. Therefore, they lost the golden opportunity and missed heaven.

Then, Capernaum was a city, where Angels were raining down like the rainfall. Numerous Angels were visiting the city because of Jesus Christ. The same city was later destroyed by the Angels, because they rejected the Gospel of Truth and Salvation, and thereby rejected life and salvation.

Explanations:

1.     Many claim that grace is enough, that they are saved by grace.

2.     But, in the above rebuke, Jesus showed that grace is not enough.

3.     Both faith and good works are compulsory.

4.     The present generations of humanity has so many opportunities to hear, understand and practise the Truth, which opportunities their predecessors and ancestors did not have.

5.     Yet the teeming world populations of humanity do not care about the end time messages and warnings from God.
