The Reasons Why

The blessings, favours, success and prosperity promised to people by seem to delay because of the following reasons:

1. Set Time.

Whenever God makes a promise, He sets time for the fulfillment and manifestation. The real problem is that people want the blessings to manifest immediately, at the wrong time. You discover that people cannot move God by their impatience, complains or repeated prayers, because God is following a set plan, which humanity do not usually know about.

Then the Lord answered me and said:

"Write the vision

And make it plain on tablets,

That he may run who reads it.

For the vision is yet for an appointed time ;

But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie.

Though it tarries, wait for it;

Because it will surely come,

It will not tarry.

Habakkuk 2:2,3

2. Failure To Do What God Said.

Many wait for the blessings to manifest, without doing what they are directed to do.

3. Test And Examination.

God may decide to test a person’s patience or trustworthiness, just by intentionally delaying the promised blessings, favours, success and prosperity. It never occurs to the mind of people that they are in school, in this world, and that they are being subjected to various kinds of tests and examinations: on patience, honesty, faithfulness, kindness, mercy, forgiveness, holiness, trustworthiness, etc.

For example, a lady asked for prayer assistance. She was directed to bring gifts and money for candles. She happily did so. But, when the pastor told her that she should be attending prayers, she said, “I will stay at home and wait. When God has answered any prayer I will come and give testimony”. She does not want participate in prayers and worship, but she wants God to answer her prayer, solve her problems and provide her needs. Even a foolish animal keeps away from an association that does not benefit it.

4. Hypocrisy.

After delivering messages to people, they keep themselves busy moving from one church, ministry or fellowship to another. In one case, somebody on Facebook posted the picture one lady attending the ministration of five different men of God, wearing the same dress and receiving healing and deliverance on the same hand.

People lack faith, and they show it be jumping form one church, ministry or fellowship to another.

5. Lawlessness.

People want God to solve their problems and provide their needs, but they do not want to keep the laws commanded by God.

In one case study, a minster was praying seriously on behalf of another person. The minister had to stop the series of prayers, when God opened his eyes and showed him the person he was praying for. God showed him where the person was busy breaking the Sabbath.

6. Self-Inflicted Hindrances.

Many people complain of delays in the manifestations of their blessings, without knowing that themselves are blocking the way for the blessings to come.

Consider the case of a very poor family, who had been praying for open door – success and prosperity. God answered their prayer by making one of the sons in the family to marry a young girl with the star for riches and wealth. In most cases, and very disappointing too, you find the mother-in-law and all her children always blaming, attacking, abusing, cursing and maltreating the rich and wealthy lady married into their family. They do these bad things, out of hatred, jealousy, greed and wickedness. All the maltreatment makes the spirit of blessings, favours, success and prosperity not to manifest and function.

In real life situations, you find many married men who are cannot provide for their families. The wives alone are bearing all the family burdens, feeding the family, sponsoring the children’s education, paying medical bills, and other expenses. Yet, the useless husband and his relations are always attacking the woman as if she were a witch.

7. Bad Conditions Of Family Compounds.

In many places, especially homes, residences, offices, workplaces, etc, the charms and ancestral idols are still very active and destructive. Physically, you will not see any charm or idol. But, it is still there buried underground. Such powers of darkness prevent the manifestations of blessings, favours, success and prosperity.

8. Refusal.

Generally, people do not know that blessings, favours, success and prosperity are spirits. They have the free will to decide whether to go and stay inside a compound or not. A family have had dream message, repeatedly, of their returning home from church with so many blessings in the cars. But, the painful thing, according to them, is that blessings remain inside the cars when they get home and refuse to enter their house.

This type of thing can happen where there are always quarrels, misunderstanding, hatred, empty, or where people are always talkative.

9. Losses.

Many get the blessings, and still lose the blessings, because they do not do what they should do and they do not know what they should know.

For example, a young man went for interview in an oil company. The interview was successful. He passed all the questions, both written and oral. The salary for the post was a hundred thousand naira, when naira had value. An official residence was waiting for whoever that would emerge successful. The official car was standing by, waiting, with the driver holding the key. What failed the young man was when he was asked to computerize the successful calculations that he had written on the papers. The only thing the young man could do was to pull out the keyboard, and nothing more. That was how he lost very lucrative employment with several benefits.

10. Beneficiaries.

Several people may depend on you and they are not doing what God said. If God decides to punish them, He may delay your blessings, in order to punish them very well.

11. Failure To Use Holy Substances.

If a person is living where there are forces of darkness, the powers of darkness shall be affecting the person and even blocking his way. If the person refuse to use holy substances, that means that the person has sold himself to the evil spirits and demons.

In one example, a young girl was having attacks from evil spirits, wherever she lived. She was asked to use the holy substances, to spray them in her residence and to use them in bathing, and in washing her head. She refused to do so, because she was wearing attachments. And so the attacks continued to affect her studies, such that she repeatedly failed an examination that she should have taken once only.

12. Delay By The Source Of The Blessing.

God do send blessings, favours, success and prosperity through somebody. Some people call such a person destiny helpers. But, the person may refuse to facility or give the blessing.

One young man went a man, who gave him fifty thousand naira. When the young man returned home, God said to him, “The amount that man gave is not what I intended that he should give you. This amount is too small.”

The benefactor later called back the young man and gave him three hundred thousand naira, in confirmation of what God had said.

13. Sin.

People commit sin when they refuse to do what God said, or do so in the wrong way. The worst is when people refuse to repent. When people continue to disobey what God said, the Angels start blocking their ways, by delaying their blessings, favours, success and prosperity.

14. Bad Habit Of Weeping.

Several people, especially girls, ladies and women do weep, when things do not work out as they expected. Some of them spend their time in privacy weeping. They think that God will hear them by their cries and tears.

The fact is that when somebody spends her time lamenting or weeping, the Angels stop working for the person. Crying and lamenting do not solve problems and do not provide human needs.

If you want the Angels to continue to fight for you and to continue to bless and prosper you, you must have faith in God and maintain a happy lifestyle.

15. By Merit And Not By Grace

In heaven, everything is by merit. The gospel of grace was introduced by Satan, through new generation churches, ministries and fellowships, to deceive humanity. That is why many refuse to keep the everlasting laws of God, and still hope to be saved into the kingdom of heaven. Such people are deceiving themselves. There is no bible portion where God or Jesus said it is by grace.
