Confirms Judas As A Betrayer

Judas Iscariot The betrayer

I am not speaking of you all; I know whom I have chosen; it is that the scripture may be fulfilled, ‘He who ate my bread has lifted his heel against me.’  I tell you this now, before it takes place, that when it does take place you may believe that I am He, the God Almighty in the midst of humanity.  Truly, truly, I say to you, he who receives any one whom I send receives me; and he who receives me receives God the Father.” John 13:1-20

And as they ate, the Master said, “Behold, one of you will turn away this night and will betray me into wicked hands.” And the Disciples were amazed at what He said. They looked into each other's face in wonderment and they all exclaimed, “Lord, is it I?”

And Peter said to John, who sat beside the Lord, “To whom does He refer?”
And John put forth his hand and touched the Master's hand and said, “Which one of us is so depraved as to betray his Lord?”
And Judas said, “Lord, is it I?”
And Jesus said, “He is the one who now has put his hand with mine into the dish.” They looked, and Judas' hand was with the hand of Jesus in the dish.”
And Jesus said, “The Prophets cannot fail; the son of man must be betrayed, but woe to him who shall betray his Lord.” It was here that Jesus confirmed to the Apostles and Disciples that Judas was not one of the Apostles.

And from the table Judas rose at once; his hour had come. And Jesus said to him, “Do quickly what you are to do.” And Judas went his way.

So when He had dipped the morsel, He gave it to Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot.  Then after the morsel, Satan entered into Judas. Jesus said to him, “What you are going to do, do quickly.”

Now no one at the table knew why He said this to Judas.  Some thought that, because Judas had the money box, Jesus was telling him, “Buy what we need for the feast”; or, that he should give something to the poor.  So, after receiving the morsel, Judas immediately went out; and it was night. John 13:21-30

Explanations:

Various signs were given, about the betrayal of Jesus Christ by Judas. One was the prophecy. Another was the fulfillment. Jesus did give morsel to Judas.

You see various records, different but related narratives concerning one event or incident, because sometimes, it is not once that the incident took place, and because it was not once that such a statement was made.

First, Jesus Christ said the person eating with Him in the same plate shall betray Him. And it was not the time He said it that it came to fulfilment and manifestation. King David also said it, in the holy book, in the palms,

“Even my own familiar friend in whom I trusted,

  who ate my bread,

has lifted up his heel against me.”

Also, Jesus Christ gave food to Judas, and as Judas received the food, even so the evil spirit took possession of him to betray Jesus Christ. And Jesus Christ said to Judas, “Go and fulfil your intention,” because He has seen the evil spirit that will use Judas to do the wicked work of betrayal.

The salvation of humanity took place as was intended and planed by God. It is a sign to humanity that the kingdom of darkness cannot do anything, unless the Kingdom of Heaven allows it.

Jesus Loves All

Date: Sixthday 1st April 2022

Event: Sabbath prayers and worship

When Jesus had thus spoken, he was troubled in spirit, and testified, “Truly, truly, I say to you, one of you will betray me.” The disciples looked at one another, uncertain of whom he spoke. One of his disciples, whom Jesus loved, was lying close to the breast of Jesus; so Simon Peter beckoned to him and said, “Tell us who it is of whom he speaks.” So lying thus, close to the breast of Jesus, he said to him, “Lord, who is it?” Jesus answered, “It is he to whom I shall give this morsel when I have dipped it.” John 13:21-26

Apostle Matthew: Is it supposed to be written like that?

The Head: It is not supposed. But the bible authors wrote according to what they understood. Perhaps, the person being spoken about is Apostle John. It does not mean that Jesus loved John more than He loved others. It could be that John was the first to grow in spirit. Others later grew in spirit too.

Apostle Matthew: Son of man, John the beloved, the word beloved have to be removed.

The Head: Let God's will be done.

Apostle Matthew: Son of man, is there any person that Jesus does not love?

The Head: There is none.

Apostle Matthew: Then, how come they wrote, “whom Jesus loved.”?

Jesus was telling us that He loves all of us.

The Head: Yes.

Apostle Matthew: So, how come they turned the statement and wrote that only one person was loved?

The Head: It is by the understanding of man, because man does not understand all things in perfection.

Apostle Matthew: Son of man, yourself answered it very well. It is the person who is making efforts in the presence of God, that the love of God comes upon – God’s love is bestowed on such a person. And it would seem as if he is the only person that God loves most.

Apostle Matthew: Son of man, what they supposed to write there is not “…whom He loved”. Son of man, they supposed to explain about the person, what he said.

The Head: What the bible authors supposed to write is this:

Peter asked John, because John was sitting very close to, beside, Jesus.

Apostle Matthew: That is what supposed to be written.

The Head: Let God's will be done.

Apostle Matthew: But, it does not mean that Jesus cannot love one person more than others. It does not mean that.

The Head: All things, love, depends on making efforts and rendering services.

Prophecy Not Understood

Apostle Matthew: Son of man, why did ourselves not understood it then?

That Judas would betray Jesus.

The Head: Your conscience did not understand that Judas would betray Jesus by accepting bribe.

Apostle Matthew: Son of man, it was not only … that. If ourselves were making efforts more than we did, before that thing happened, the Angels will reveal it to us, for ourselves to be watchful. Even Judas, the Angels would have cautioned him, but earthly gains misled him. That is why ourselves are calling the children of God close to ourselves, explaining to them the mistakes that we made, for themselves to be wiser and for themselves to perform better than we did.

Avoid Sin And Destruction

For He knew who would betray Him; therefore He said, "You are not all clean." John 13:11

1.     Today, many people play the role of Judas Iscariot by gossiping, backbiting, presence, jealousy and greed.

2.     That is one of the reasons why churches, ministries and fellowships are multiplying contrary to the prayer of Jesus that all may be one: One flock one shepherd.

3.     Never you play the role of a betrayer, because it will lead you to hell fire. In every play, comedy, drama or film, do not accept to play the role of a betrayer and do not act evil.

4.     Jesus prophesied that Judas will betray him, as one of the signs to show that He is the Messiah. A proof to the world that His crucifixion, death and resurrection are for the salvation of humanity.
