Multitude

Jesus Feeds More Than Four Thousand Multitude
Now, in the night while the disciples slept, behold, Jesus rose and went alone into a mountain pass, six miles away, to pray. And in the morning, when the twelve awoke, they could not find the Lord. And all the people of the village sought for Him, and when the sun had passed its highest point (in the afternoon) they found Him in the mountain pass. And multitudes of people came and brought their sick, and Jesus taught and healed.

And when the night came on, the people would not go. They slept upon the ground that they might be near the Lord. Three days and nights the multitudes remained, and none had something to eat. And Jesus had compassion and He said, “If I should send the multitudes away, they might not reach their homes, for they are faint, for some have journeyed many miles.”
And His disciples said, “Where shall we get enough food to feed them all? There are four thousand men, besides the women and the little ones.”

And Jesus said, “How many loaves have you?”
They answered, “Seven, and some little fish.”
And Jesus said, “Go and seat the people as you seated them the other day when all the multitudes were fed, in companies of twelve.”

And when the people were sat down in companies of twelve, the loaves and fish were brought. And Jesus looked to heaven and spoke the Word, and then He broke the seven loaves in little bits, and likewise cut the fishes. And every bit of bread became a loaf, and every piece of fish became a fish – the bread and fishes increased and multiplied, because the Angels of God brought more loaves and fishes from heaven. The twelve went forth and gave to everyone. The people ate and they were filled. And all the fragments that were left were gathered up, and there were seven baskets full. And then the people went their ways.

Feeding The Four Thousand

In those days, when again a great crowd had gathered, and they had nothing to eat, He called His disciples to Himself, and said to them, “I have compassion on the crowd, because they have been with me now three days, and have nothing to eat; and if I send them away hungry to their homes, they will faint on the way; and some of them have come a long way.” And His disciples answered Him, “How can one feed these men with bread here in the desert?”

And He asked them, “How many loaves have you?” They said, “Seven.”

And He commanded the crowd to sit down on the ground; and He took the seven loaves, and having given thanks He broke them and gave them to His disciples to set before the people; and they set them before the crowd. And they had a few small fish; and having blessed them, He commanded that these also should be set before them. And they ate, and were satisfied; and they took up the broken pieces left over, seven baskets full. And there were about four thousand people.

And He sent them away; and immediately He got into the boat with His disciples, and went to the district of Dalmanu′tha. Mark 8:1-10

Explanations

1.     It is the duty of ministers of God to ensure that the hungry ones are well fed.

2.     Charity or welfares service is part of divine work.

3.     However, do not give the holy offerings and sacred things of God to people who are not keeping God’s covenant.

4.     Make enough provisions for the welfare of the ministers of God, most of whom have no other means of earnings.

Why Jesus Christ Asked The Apostles To Gather The Broken Pieces Of Leftover

1.     He is teaching the Apostles, ministers of God and children of God, not to waste holy substances.

2.     He is teaching humanity not to waste natural resources.

3.     What is abundant today, may be lacking tomorrow.

4.     The holy things of God should not be left outside anywhere, anyhow and anytime.

5.     Such holy substances should not be left in the open or refuse dump, to rotten and be infested by flies.

6.     The scarcity in the world teaches the children of God good management of resources, time, and manpower.

7.     Scarcity are usually caused by your fellow human beings.

8.     Humanity shall give account of whatever they damage, waste or mismanage.

9.     Abuse and misuse of natural resources causes scarcity.

10.                        The Angels in-charge of resources may punish humanity for wasteful expenditures of money, materials, vessels and tools. Even so with the scarcity of other things.

11.                        People should not lavish what is available and expect the Angels to provide more by magic.

12.                        Magic simply means lies and fabrications, which seem to be true, but are meaningless and useless.

13.                        Often, people expect the Angels to provide more, even so immediately or soon after. But through scarcity, the Angels teach humanity that good management is very important.

14.                        The children of God should learn how to process, preserve, manage and sustain natural resources and provisions.

15.                        The children of God and ministers of God have to learn how to preserve and manage things, including gifts and offerings, foods, drinks, materials, vessel and tools.

16.                        Do not lavish anything, because wastefulness is provocation to the Hosts of Angels and Saints of Heaven.

17.                        Lavishing leads to wastefulness.

18.                        It causes shortages (aka nkuchasisi).

19.                        It brings the anger of the Angels.

20.                        The Angels punish people with scarcity, if people lavish what the Angels have made abundant.

21.                        The Angels may stop or delay the supply.

22.                        The provisions of bread and fishes from heaven were so abundant, that people were playing with the leftovers – considered the leftovers as no longer important.

23.                        Some people were eating just because bread and fish were in abundance, and not because they were hungry and faint.

24.                        In such cases of abundance, the people who supposed to take only two loaves, took five loaves. That is lavishing of foods.

25.                        Ourselves, the Apostles, did not know that we should gather the leftovers, because we had a miracle.

26.                        The multitudes would think that, even if the surplus were wasted, Jesus Christ will provide again in future. That is not a good consideration in management.

27.                        Immediately after every prayers and worship, eating and drinking or services and ministrations, the children of God should sweep and clean up everywhere, and set all things in order, in their respective places.

28.                        The house of God should not be left in disorganized and unclean conditions.

29.                        Rotten materials attract powers of darkness and forces of darkness.

30.                        The rotten materials attract flies, insects and rodents into the holy places.

31.                        The Holy Spirit wants neatness and preservations, which show good training and discipline.

32.                        When things are left disorganized in the holy places, the Angels may not enter the holy place.

33.                        Over feeding, gluttony, excessive eating and drinking, is an abomination o the Lord.

34.                        Gluttony shows senselessness, lack of self-control and indiscipline, which are the characteristics of the evil spirits and demons.

35.                        Let humanity stop every form of overdose and wastefulness, and prevent the same because the Angels do not want such carelessness.

36.                        When there is scarcity, let the children of God be patient because the Angels will replenish.

37.                        If a person cannot manage what he has, even the little he has shall be taken away from him.

38.                        On many occasions, what a person rejects and considers as not important, the same thing is very important to another person who is need of it.
