Revelation Chapter 5

The Victorious Lion Of The Tribe Of Judah

And I saw in the right hand of Him who sat on the throne a scroll written inside and on the back, sealed with seven seals. Then I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, “Who is worthy to open the scroll and to loose its seals?" And no one in heaven or on the earth or under the earth was able to open the scroll, or to look at it.

So I wept much, because no one was found worthy to open and read the scroll, or to look at it. But one of the elders said to me, "Do not weep. Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has prevailed to open the scroll and to loose its seven seals."

And I looked, and behold, in the midst of the throne and of the four living creatures, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as though it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent out into all the earth. Then He came and took the scroll out of the right hand of Him who sat on the throne.

Written

The word, written, means concluded and shall take place, unfailingly.

The Seven Seals

Apostle Matthew: The seven seals signify the power and authority of Jesus Christ

The Head: It shows perfection. It shows perfect power and authority. It shows that nobody is able to change the plan and works. It shows that nobody is able to open the seals, except the person who has the key.

Apostle Matthew: Son of man, yourself answered very well. It shows the power of the Holy Spirit. The power of the Holy Spirit is already available. The power of the Holy Spirit which a person shall use to do work, is already available. And when the time comes, there shall be no hindrances able to stop or prevent the work. It is immovable, unchangeable.

The Lion Of The Tribe Of Judah

A Lamb as though it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent out into all the earth.

The Root Of David

Jesus is the God and maker of King David.

A Lamb As Though It Had Been Slain

The Head: This refers to the crucifixion, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Apostle John: I was shown the lamb because I had not yet grown in spirit. If I had grown in spirit, I would have seen Jesus on the cross, very clearly.

Son of man, why was I shown the lamb?

The Head: It shows that Jesus is the saviour. Also, He is king in heaven. The lamb was in the midst to show that power and authority, perfect control in heaven and on earth, belong to Jesus, just as the center of a circle determines the size and location of the circle.

Apostle John: Son of man, you answered very well, because you are a man of wisdom. But another person shall not be able to give the same answer. I was shown the lamb to make me understand it, and to understand it immediately. We know that what was used to offer sacrifice to God during our life time was a lamb. Even so a lamb was used as an example, a proverb.

The twenty-four elders were saying, “You are worthy to take the scroll” because they were seeing Jesus clearly, and they know that it was Jesus that that was the lamb.

The word is steadfast, from everlasting to everlasting. One confirmation that the Angels do give me, as they used to show me, it exists from everlasting to everlasting. God made it steadfast, it shall never be changed, it is unchangeable.

Seven Horns

The omnipotence of God Almighty. The power and authority of Jesus Christ.

Seven Eyes

This means perfect vision and omnipresence. The ability to see all things, even so at the same time.

Which Are The Seven Spirits Of God

God first transformed Himself into three, the Holy Trinity; and also, into the Seven Spirits, called the Elohims.

Worthy Is the Lamb

Now when He had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each having a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints. And they sang a new song, saying:

"You are worthy to take the scroll,

And to open its seals;

For You were slain,

And have redeemed us to God by Your blood

Out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation,

And have made us kings and priests to our God;

And we shall reign on the earth."

Jesus is worthy because of His great sacrifice, which He offered on the cross, at Mount Calvary.

Angels Worship God And Jesus Christ

Then I looked, and I heard the voice of many angels around the throne, the living creatures, and the elders; and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands, saying with a loud voice:

"Worthy is the Lamb who was slain

To receive power and riches and wisdom,

And strength and honor and glory and blessing!"

And every creature which is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, I heard saying:

"Blessing and honor and glory and power

Be to Him who sits on the throne,

And to the Lamb, forever and ever!"

Then the four living creatures said, "Amen!" And the twenty-four elders fell down and worshiped Him who lives forever and ever.

Apostle John De Light saw the Hosts of Angels and Saints of Heaven worshipping Jesus Christ. He could not count them, that was why he described their number in a way that a human being can understand. Therefore, he said the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands – one hundred millions (100, 000,000) and many more.
