Chapter 2

You Shall Know The Truth
And
The Truth Shall Set You Free

By
The Man Who Saw God Face To Face
Raphael Okechukwu Nweze

Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart:
and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
Matthew 11:28-30

Have you examined it properly?
…Raphael Nweze

INTRODUCTION
Normally, people define Truth, as a statement of facts, things which have occurred, things which are, things which are not the figments of imagination. To the ordinary world, that is the meaning of Truth. But, spiritually, that definition is far away from what is actually the Truth. Truth is also the criteria by which we judge the validity or falsity in spoken and written statements.
Four main theories have been proposed to explain Truth. They are the theories of correspondence, pragmatic, coherence and deflationary. In spirit, all these theories are irrelevancies. They do not give the true meaning of Truth.

THE MEANING OF TRUTH
“I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear.
But when He, the Spirit of Truth, comes, He will guide you into all Truth.
He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears,
and he will tell you what is yet to come”.
John 16:12-14

  1. In the beginning was God only. Only God was in existence and only God was Truth (Life).
  2. God existed before creation started. Therefore, He was the First, the Only and the Last. That is why He is called the Ancient of Days – because He was before the days were created by revolution and rotation of the earth.
  3. He is everlasting. God was, is and is to come (ever shall be).
  4. He is Almighty.
  5. He is Omnipotent, Omnipresent and Omniscient.
  6. God became Trinity.
  7. God said, “Let there be Light.” And there was Light. The Light was from God, and the Light was God.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God.
John 1:1,2 In breathing out the Light that was, is and shall be God, the Holy Spirit became manifest as well. If you were to bring out a piece of fire from fire, you would notice that the original fire and the fire brought out each has light. The light is common to the two fires, joins the two fires, is from the two fires and is also fire. So is the Holy Spirit, who is also God.
  8. The Trinity breathed out The Seven Spirits of God.
  9. The Seven Spirits always stand in the Presence of God, and minister to the entire Universe. They are Mighty and Glorious Spirits of God, from God and for God. "I am Gabriel, who stands in the presence of God,” Luke 1:19
  10. God created all things with the Light.
  11. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it. John 1:1,2 The Word of God is vibration, just as light is vibration. Hence, we live in a Light-Wave Universe. Spirit is Light. That is why both spirit and light can appear and disappear. All things made of this light can as well appear and disappear. Even solids are light at very low levels of vibration.
  12. The life we live is entirely spiritual.
  13. We live in a spiritual world. A world that is, in every way, spiritually active. A world where the physical seem to dominate, but does not. A world, where the spiritual dominate, and yet seems not to do so.
  14. Human beings are bright, glorious and mighty spirit beings.
  15. Human beings are not ordinary flesh. They are mighty and glorious spirit beings. They are each God-in-seed form. That is why Jesus said, “You must be (become) perfect even as your heavenly Father is perfect.” The seed of a plant germinates, grows, matures and bears fruit, just like the parent tree. Even so, man is expected to develop unto Godliness, through many years of re-incarnation. On attainment of perfection, a person can see God and exclaim “Oh God, I am like Yourself!”

To him that overcomes will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. Revelation 3:21

  16. God is All-In-All.
  17. God did not create the world out of nothing as some people claim and teach. What comes out of nothing remains nothing. God created the world out of Himself and for Himself. Hence, God is without all things controlling them, and within all things centering them. He is a friend and companion of all living things. He is like the sun, which is outside the earth, controlling the earth with gravitational force and revolution, and at the same time it is inside the earth in the form of light sustaining life, by which plants yield foods (photosynthesis), and it is also as heat inside the ground, empowering chemical reactions.
  18. Life is Everlasting.
  19. Whatever has beginning, shall have an end. And whatever that has no beginning, has no end. Birth is not the beginning of life, and death is not the end of life.
  20. Life is governed by spiritual laws.
  21. The spiritual laws are God’s Will in Creation. None can neglect them and get free. They are intelligent, universal and perfect in operation. They apply similarly to everyone, irrespective of tribe, sex, church, etc. That is why Abraham, Isaac and Jacob obeyed God’s commandments long before Moses received the commandments on Mt Sinai.
To go against the spiritual laws of life is the sin against the Holy Spirit you hear and talk about. The laws are irrevocable, intelligent, universal and perfect. They render to everybody whatever that is due to him.

MORE ABOUT LIFE
  1. Reincarnation is true.
  2. People reincarnate in human form, several times before they mature, before they become perfect.
  3. Destiny is both self-determined and God-ordained.
  4. Every body determines his own destiny through his thoughts, words, and actions. That is why Jesus said, “You shall know the Truth and the Truth shall set you free.” John 8:32 Again He said, “Whatever a man sows, that he shall reap.” This is the principle behind floatation, walking, running, flying, swimming, etc. Action and reaction are equal and opposite. The measure you give, will be the measure you get.

WHAT IT MEANS TO KNOW THE TRUTH
"Before, I believed that God exists. Today, I no longer believe, because I know God. Belief is preliminary (elementary). It is meant for those who do not know God, but who believe that He exists. That is why they are called Believers. To know God means to have seen Him, spoken with Him, interacted with Him, worked with Him. Every believer should seek to know God: to see Him, to hear Him, to touch Him, to co-work with Him, to walk with Him and to relate with Him directly, all on a friendly basis and in a Father-Son relationship, just as Enoch did.
Since the encounter, it has been series of encounter with God, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit and the Angels."
(From Everlasting Wonders by Nweze Raphael)
To know the Truth means to see and experience the Truth. It also means to see and experience God because God is Truth. It means to become one with the Truth. This is because whoever that knows the Truth is refined and empowered by the Holy Spirit. Therefore, he lives in the Truth, by the Truth, for the Truth, as the Truth and with the Truth. That is why Jesus said,

At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you. (At that day means when you become perfect or spiritually awake.) John 14:20

When Philip said, "Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough for us." Jesus answered: "Don’t you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, “Show us the Father”? Don’t you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you are not just my own. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work. Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the miracles themselves. John 14:8-11

Jesus saith unto him, "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life (I am the Spirit that is Life and the Way by which you find the Truth - God): no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." John 14:6

Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says unto the churches. Rev 3:12,13

MORE ABOUT THE PERSON WHO KNOWS THE TRUTH
For in him (Spirit) we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring. Acts 17:28
  1. The person lives in the Truth because God is omnipresent.
  2. The person lives by the Truth because he keeps to the Truth and is guided by the Truth in all righteousness.
  3. The person lives for the Truth because he performs all his duties as service offerings pleasant to God.
  4. The person lives as the Truth because himself is a unique manifestation of God.
  5. The person lives with the Truth because God is his friend and companion, always.
Hence, there is clear difference between the believer and the one who knows the Truth. Believing is good. But, it is not enough. It is a disgrace to be an ignorant believer. Everybody should strive to know God. According to Prophet Mohammed, "You should worship God to know Him, and know Him to worship Him."
In addition, to know the Truth means:
  1. To release yourself from the prison of ignorance.
  2. To know that the real obstacles people have in life is not problems, not even Satan. It is ignorance. That is why Jesus said, “You shall know the Truth and the Truth shall set you free.” John 8:32. That is also why God said, “My people perish for lack of knowledge.” Hosea 4:6
  3. To set yourself free!
  4. To become honest in life.
  5. To test and confirm whatever you know.
  6. To test and confirm whatever you believe.
  7. To question whatever you are told in order to confirm or disprove it. It is always better to test and confirm the Truth hundred times, than to hold one - single - belief that is false.
  8. To know life as it is. For the life we live is not just physical as you see. It is purely spiritual and governed by spiritual laws, which are perfect in operation, unchanging and impartial.
  9. To know God as He is.
  10. To know the ultimate: that is to become one with the Truth (God).
  11. To know the Universe, its structure and substance.
Truth is like an open book,
which everybody can read and understand.

IMPORTANCE OF TRUTH
  1. Truth is the framework of the Universe. Without Truth, the Universe cannot exist. That is why Jesus said, “I am the Way, the Truth and Life.”
  2. Truth sets free. Hence, “You shall know the Truth and the Truth shall set you free.”
  3. Truth clears doubts, misconceptions, assumptions, false beliefs, etc.
  4. Truth casts out fear. To know the Truth is to know life as it is, and understand its activities with clarity. It also means to experience the Truth. Therefore, Truth is the sure foundation of confidence, faith and courage.
  5. In the entire Universe and in the Presence of God, there is nothing to fear. Fear is man-made. Avoid it. The societies, organizations and governments have not been able to stop crime by intimidating, frightening or threatening people.
  6. Truth makes good judgment possible and easy, through evidences which are beyond reasonable doubts.
  7. Truth transforms the knower. Truth is Spirit and has the power to transform the knower into oneness with Truth. To know the Truth is to become one with the Truth. It happened to Jesus on the mountain, during transfiguration. Also, it so happened to Moses on Mt Sinai, that people could not look at his face.
  8. It causes errors, which are illusions, to vanish.
  9. It gives peace of mind.
  10. It makes faith worthwhile. It is the basis, the foundation, of true faith. Any belief, contrary to the Truth, is blind faith, false belief and spiritual ignorance. That is where mystery begins.
It is better to test and confirm the Truth hundred times,
than to hold one - single - belief that is false!

MEANING OF IGNORANCE
Ignorance means lack of knowledge, information and learning. A person is considered ignorance if:
  1. He lacks knowledge.
  2. He does not know what he is supposed to do know.
  3. He ignores the Truth about life. (He is called ignorant because he continues to ignore very important things of life.)
  4. He is falsely complacent, and therefore does not learn further. Learning is a life-long exercise.
Indeed, people are ignorant of many things they suppose to know
about God and life.
Worse still, they are not even making efforts to know.
