Introduction
         Several signs in our environments indicate the presence of evils spirits, demons, mermaids, ghosts, witches and demonic poisons. They include:
  1. Meals eaten in dreams, served by demons, evil spirits, witches and ghosts, etc.

  2. Keeping food open, which are then eaten or poisoned by the evil spirits.

  3. Foods cooked by demon-possessed companies and individuals. A company or individual is demon-possessed if the company or person is possessed by demon or evil spirit.

  4. Snacks prepared by those possessed by evil spirits and demons, etc.

  5. Dirty or murky water, full of dirt and rottenness.

  6. Pungent odours coming from slums, unclean spirits or unseen evil spirit.

  7. Food, edibles or drinks prepared or touched by a woman who has committed abortion.

  8. Food, edibles or drinks prepared or touched by woman in their mensis/period.

  9. Buying or eating food and snacks stolen from the owners.

  10. Foods, edibles or drinks prepared on grounds dedicated to idol or prepared inside shrine places.

  11. Foods, edibles or drinks purchased with fraudulent money.

  12. Foods, edibles or drinks cooked by a person infected with HIV/AIDS.

  13. Edibles or drinks prepared in a place infested by demons, evil spirits, etc.

  14. Food and drinks prepared on the roads or by the road sides, which are infested by demons, evil spirits, etc Examples include chicken parts, suya, akara bulbs, plantain, etc.

  15. Foods and drinks prepared by a person wearing indecent dresses.

  16. Foods, snacks or drinks prepared beside cemetery, mortuary, etc.

  17. Presence of bats, insects, rodents, etc, especially if ugly to the sight or evil in appearance.

  18. Doors opening or closing by themselves.

  19. Hearing of foot steps on the roof or along the passage.

  20. Unnecessary fear, shock or uneasiness.

  21. Refuse dumps, especially when such a place is unattended to for a very long time.

  22. A feeling that somebody is pursuing you at night.

  23. A feeling that somebody is around the corner when you are alone.

  24. Frequent quarrels, especially when there is no obvious cause.
